Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page explains the position at Napclue and the routes available.

What Opting Out Does

The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.

Scope of This Right

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have. What can happen is narrower: where advertising is served on this site, advertising cookies and device identifiers may be made available to advertising partners. The statutory definitions of ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are wide enough to capture that arrangement, so we treat it as opt-out-able rather than argue about the label. Anyone reading our guides on napclue.com can opt out, subscriber or not.

How to Tell Us

The automatic route is Global Privacy Control: enable it in your browser and this site respects it on every visit without you asking. Manual routes are the consent banner, where one is presented, and email to hello@napclue.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ in the subject. No account or registration is needed.
